The cadmium analogue of serpierite, aldridgeite occurs as rare pale blue acicular crystals.
Selected Australian Occurrences:
- Only recorded from the Type Locality: Block 14 Open Cut, Broken Hill, New South Wales.
Aldridgeite has since been recorded from two other locations – Lavrion, Greece, and New Mexico.
