Anhydrite

Ca(SO4)

Although anhydrite is a common mineral, it is generally not well-represented in collections from Australian occurrences. It occurs with other evaporite minerals such as gypsum and halite, and in certain other environments such as skarns. It is usually white or bluish in colour.
